Education matters. We all remember that teacher at school that had such a great impact on our lives. Things from our school life stay with us forever. From the sports matches we played in, to that time we played the lead in the Christmas play. Education doesn’t just last for those few short years that we are in school though. The lessons we learn stay with us for life. Let’s have a look at the importance of education both now and in the future.
Money Lessons
Our children have been through a lot over the last few years. They’ve had a few strange years in the middle of their childhoods. Perhaps your children were actually born into the madness we’ve experienced in modern living. More recently, children who have been listening to your conversations will probably have heard stuff being discussed about the cost of living crisis. It is no secret that everything has been costing more, with energy bills going through the roof and the price of the weekly shop skyrocketing. It’s really important to give them to knowledge about money from a young age. This will help them develop habits about saving and spending their money wisely. This is perhaps more important than ever when we have a generation growing up during this chaos. Fortunately, there are some great ways to connect with them on their level, about these types of subjects. There are some fantastic money games out there that will help them earn to control their finances.
Potential Future Careers
These money games actually go further than the cost of living crisis They could even help your children see potential careers. One of my favourites is the Real Estate Tycoon game. This teaches buying and selling at an absolutely simple level. Kids of all ages will love this, as the challenge of buying at low prices and selling at high ones to make a profit is quite exciting. Whilst it seems like a game, there is a great lesson here for business and life. Those money lessons will stay with your kids for a long time and hopefully assist them in the future. Who knows, playing this game could give them the interest to become a property developer in the future, a career path started from a young age! There are lots of games that are bright, colourful, and bold, yet give more insight and knowledge to your children as they play.

Gaming Actually Helps
There are loads of benefits to gaming. Creativity is boosted, visual memory is stimulated, teamwork is encouraged and strategy and leadership are developed. Many people look at the time that kids spend gaming and scoff. However, gaming can really assist our kids to become better. Whilst we’re not wanting to encourage sitting in front of a screen all weekend, those games can actually be more than just tapping buttons. Maybe it’s time we start looking at gaming in a different way and seeing it as a modern-day way of education. One that can make an actual difference.
